4th Feb 2012 – Premiers, Film Festivals

I recently went to the Welsh Composers’s Showcase concert. They had a series of workshops and open rehearsals of new music by up and coming welsh composers. My girlfriend Sarah Lianne Lewis was selected for the showcase, and had an orchestral piece premiered by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales in the final concert too.

Next week it’s Ffesh, the student film festival for Wales. There’ll actually be 3 film that I’ve worked on being show there.

LoveStruck will be shown, along with all the other short films produced for the BBC’s Made In Wales series. This will be at 11am, Thursday the 9th of February, at the Newport Film School Cinema.

And both Bubbles and Queensbury Rules are finalists in the Postgraduate Fiction Film category, which will be screened at 3pm, Friday the 10th of February at the Riverfront Cinema.

Also, outside of Wales, Bubbles has made it into the National Student Film Festival 2012 as well. Not had much more details about that one yet, although it’ll be around 23-25th March 2012 on the South Bank.
